Job Description

The Business Development Representative identifies business opportunities by focusing on new prospects and qualifying leads for the Sales Executives.  To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience hunting for new prospects through cold calling, solution selling, and persistence. Previous technology sales experience and managed IT services experience is a plus.   

Responsibilities

  • Qualifying sales leads and drive new leads through the sales process by initiating qualified appointments between prospective customers and Account Executives 
  • Contacting potential customers through cold calls, emails, and social media 
  • Researching target accounts and contacts to understand key decision makers/influencers  
  • Identifying prospect needs and suggest appropriate products/services  
  • Completing 1000-1200 outreach activities per week, phone calls/emails/social media contacts 
  • Consistently logging and documenting outreach made in HubSpot along with lead source for tracking  
  • Utilizing tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn 
  • Building long-term trusting relationships with prospects through nurturing 
  • Developing an effective pipeline of new projects and services 
  • Participating in sales meetings and partner trainings onsite 
  • All other duties, as assigned

What we look for 

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Business Development Representative or similar role 
  • Experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls), Sandler selling, solution selling 
  • Outstanding phone presence with the ability to start a conversation and create trust with prospects 
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas  
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, etc.)   
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)  
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics  
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
