“The diaper repack is a great way to support our community. In just a few short hours our group was able to repack thousands of diapers and prepare them for delivery to our community members – what a tangible way to help out! - Megan Ehlers, Blue Margin Project Manager
Did you know 1 in 3 families in our country don’t have access to an adequate supply of diapers for their little ones?
With a mission to help keep “little behinds” clean, dry, and healthy, a local organization has been working to address the diaper need within our community.
What started as a grassroots effort in 2015, The Nappie Project has become a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization distributing over 1M diapers and 630K wipes to 97K babies (and counting). In 2022, they partnered with the Food Bank for Larimer County to further extend their reach, and that’s where our team first learned of the opportunity to get involved.
Over the past 3 months, 11 of our employees volunteered through Blue Margin Community Works for “wrap sessions”. During each session, the group spent two hours working together to repackage and relabel diapers for distribution.
Diapers, especially nowadays, are very expensive and can cause extra stress for a family when money is already tight. The ability to reduce some of the stress for these mothers in need is rewarding.

Nancy Tafoya, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Food Bank of Larimer County, is a pleasure to work with, and she helped us schedule each of our group volunteer events. We’re already looking forward to more opportunities in 2023!
How You Can Get Involved
If you’re interested in lending a hand, too, wrap sessions are a fun way for groups to volunteer together. Just send Nancy an email to get scheduled.
